Blue Beetle is a fun, action-packed superhero movie that kinda introduces a new hero to the DCU but it’s really set in the DCEU. Probably my favorite DC movie of this year

The movie follows Jaime Reyes who gets superpowers after finding a blue scarab. Jaime (Xolo Maridueña) must learn to use his powers to fight crime and protect his city from the evil Carapax (Raoul Trujillo)

The movie is well-made and has a lot of heart. I really liked the cast. The action scenes are well-choreographed and exciting. Some of it reminded me of Injustic 2. The movie also has a great sense of humor. I really liked the family dynamics, especially George Lopez. He was the standout in the movie. Also the grandma was crazy

The only thing I didn’t like were the villains. Carapax is the better of the two but that’s not saying much. I give him one thing he’s better than the villains from Shazam 2. I really liked Blue Beetle’s suit. Very comic accurate. Probably one of the best DC suits I’ve seen. Top 10 for sure. My favorite scene was the fights at the very end. Really any fight with the Blue Beetle suit is fire

James Gunn did say that DCU won’t start until Creature Commandos and Superman Legacy but these three actors are coming back. Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. John Cena as Peacemaker. And the guy from Cobra Kai as Blue Beetle. I’m fine with it

Overall, Blue Beetle is a solid film. It’s a fun, action-packed movie that will appeal to fans of all ages. The movie is also notable for its diverse cast and for its positive representation of Latino culture. I had a good time. The Cgi was way better than The Flash. Can’t wait to see more Blue Beetle. Aquaman 2 will be the final film for the DCEU. From what I’ve seen from the trailer it looks amazing. I liked the first movie so I have high hopes for the sequel
