The Legend of Zelda BOTW

Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild is the first game that launched along with the Nintendo Switch back in 2017. It got wide acclaim from newcomers and veterans who have known the series for a long time. It’s the first Zelda game I beat.

Breath of The Wild follows Link as he wakes up from a long nap and finds himself in a brave new world with no memory of his previous life. As you learn the basics, you’re given a quest to free four Divine Beasts scattered across the land and defeat Calamity Ganon for he too is waking up from his nap.

The beauty of the premise is as my brother said when he completed the game get lost in it. Most of the time I’m cooking food, fighting monsters, searching for puzzle guides on YouTube, and riding a horse to get to the next destination.

What I liked most about the game is it lets you go at your own pace and since every good game needs a storyline it fits the bill. Throughout the game there are flashbacks to Link’s past learning more about the character and the world around them. Each time you defeat one of the bosses, you get another memory and a power up when you reach the final boss. You’ll want to free all the Divine Beast and restore your memory for this one. Trust me.

Overall, Breath of The Wild is an amazing game that I beat in a month and I’m sure the sequel will deliver the goods. And remember when you’re not sure on where to go next get lost in it.
